Fellow dog lovers, get excited! It’s ‘spoil your dog day’ every day at our house, but now we are officially celebrating National Fetch Day too! It’s coming up soon, Oct. 19th, 2019, and Dixie and I are ready to #MakeFetchHappen.

Fellow dog lovers, get excited! It's 'spoil your dog day' every day at our house, but now we are officially celebrating National Fetch Day too! It's coming up soon, Oct. 19th, 2019, and Dixie and I are ready to #MakeFetchHappen.

Exercising with your pup is good for both of you, it promotes bonding and all those feel-good hormones we love! Of course, I have a limited amount of energy each day so I appreciate toys that make playtime more fun for both Dixie and me. Yes, it is harder to have a dog when you have a chronic illness, but I still can’t imagine my life without her!

The ChuckIt! Classic Launcher toy makes throwing the ball for Dixie to fetch super easy, which is one of the main reasons I love it so much. It allows me to play fetch with her even when I’m low on energy/spoons. The ball goes farther, she gets more exercise, and I exert less energy while I still have all of the enjoyment!

Dixie also loves two of the other lightweight and easy to play with ChuckIt! toys, the Kick Fetch Ball and the Zipflight. Bonus, they are both nice and easy for me to pick up and throw too. You’d think she was a puppy since she’s still very insistent on playing daily!

But who can say no to that cute little dog face?! Plus, fetch is a great mood booster for both of us.

We love to celebrate everything because life is hard- find joy anyway, right?! So we are super excited to celebrate National Fetch Day the third Saturday of October with a little family party in our backyard, playtime, and lots of dog treats too!

What are you going to do to celebrate?
